Tiffany Hills Park - Kansas City ♿️

Underwater and pirate ship-themed inclusive park in Kansas City with a surrounding fence. Located near the Tiffany Hills Sports Complex.

Hodge Park - Kansas City

Large, full-fenced playground with great features like the slide lookout, zipline, and trails. Plus, you can walk to the Shoal Creek Living History Museum. You may even see a buffalo!

Englewood Park - Kansas City

Located near Najic Lake, Englewood Park is located on the east side of the lake and has a surrounding fence. It has swings, climbing structures, and more!

McCoy Park - Independence ♿️💦 

Pioneer and woodland-themed park with a splashpark! It is near the Mid-Continent Public Library in Independence. Inclusive playground is fully fenced and the splash park is partially-fenced.

T.B. Hanna Station - Raymore ♿️💦

This amazing park includes an inclusive playground and a separate railroad sprayground in Raymore. My kids love the train theme of the splash park! It has two entries so you do need to be mindful in case a child tries to run out to the adjacent fenced-in playground.

Hawk’s Nest Inclusive Playground at Hawk Ridge Park - Raymore ♿️

A brand new inclusive playground recently opened in Raymore, MO which is about 30 minutes south of Kansas City. It is worth a visit for the unique animal tunnel, netted bridge, musical elements, rock wall, and so many more fun features. It is a tall playset but has ramps for easy access. A full fence surrounds the playground for an extra layer of safety.

Lea McKeighan North Park Splash Park - Lee’s Summit 💦

There are two Lea McKeighan Parks in Lee’s Summit, but the North park has a fully-fenced splash park. Perfect for hot summer days to keep your kid contained while cooling off!

Variety KC Playground - Wyandotte County Park - Bonner Springs ♿️

The perfect inclusive playground for your baseball fan that is fully fenced! This “Field of Dreams” baseball park was created by Variety KC, so you know it will have all the inclusive features we love! Ramps, slides, in ground merry-go-round, and many nods to baseball. This is a great park all year round.

Loose Park Sprayground - Kansas City 💦

A classic Kansas City park and perfect for cooling off in the summer! The Loose Park Sprayground is located next to the tennis courts. It’s a fully fenced in sprayground and has multiple sprayers. Turn the dial to start the water when you visit!

Sybil Silkwood Nutter Inclusive Playground - Kansas City ♿️

Also known as part of Hosptial Hill Park, this inclusive playground has a pirate ship, a step-on musical keyboard, in-ground merry-go-round, and a climbing rope spinner. My kids love this park at Children’s Mercy Hospital! It’s great to visit if you have an appointment or if you just need somewhere fun and fenced-in to play. It is partially fenced with the sides exposed to enter/exit.

Johnson County / South Kansas City - Fenced-in Parks

Strang Park - Overland Park, KS ♿️

One of our favorite Johnson County parks is Strang Park! This park sits right behind the Central Resource Library in Overland Park so it makes for a great outing to visit the playground and library. This park is completely fenced in but it’s very large so it doesn’t feel constricting. It can be tricky to see kids if they are playing in separate areas so I like to go with a friend. Shawnee Mission Park Inclusive Playground - Shawnee ♿️

My kids love this two-tiered park! The top tier has a giant rope climbing structure with metal slides going down to the bottom level. It has swings, a water sprayer during the summer months, a musical section, and a toddler playset. It is fully fenced in and I like that the restrooms are inside the fence too. Meadowbrook Park Inclusive Playground - Prairie Village ♿️

A new park on the Meadowbrook Park campus with a fully surrounding fence! This one is great for all ages, but especially little ones. It has two playsets, a musical section, merry-go-round, and more to explore. I love the new restrooms next to it and the shelter house is great for picnics. Leawood City Park - Leawood ♿️

The inclusive playground at Leawood City Park is great for year-round play. It has two sides, one with a toddler section and the other with a zip-line, swings, and a larger playset. It is fully-fenced but doesn’t have a gated entrance. It is next to a large shelter house which is great for picnics and it has nice shady trees for hot days.

Stilwell Community Park - Stilwell ♿️

A brand new inclusive park south of Kansas City with a surrounding fence, Stilwell Community Park is open for play! This park has a similar play set as Meadowbrook Park’s inclusive playground. There is limited shade so this park is best during spring or fall!

Veterans Park - Gardner ♿️

This park recently went through a major update and now has two inclusive playground sections! One is aimed at ages 2.5-5 and one for 5-12 year olds. The playground has a fence around it and includes ziplines, slides, a merry-go-round, swings, and a toddler market playset. This is a great park in the south metro of Kansas City!
